Marine Biology Centre of Annamalai University entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Scottish Association for Marine Science attached to University of Highlands and Islands, Scotland, UK. Annamalai University’s Marine Biology Centre is functioning at Parangipettai (TN) and is 57-year-old. The centres will work on two scientific disciplines: Marine Ecosystem Management and Coastal Aquaculture related to algal technology. The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr.Shiv Das Mena, IAS and Principal Secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu and also Administrator of Annamalai University and Joanne Allday of Scotland. N Panchanatham, Registrar of Annamalai University, Dinesh Oliver Ponraj, District Revenue Officer and Prof K Kathiresan, Dean and Director of Marine Biology Centre also participated in the meeting.
